Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy SATURDAY, MAY 20, 8 PM, $38                          A drummer’s drummer, Carl Palmer anchored the legendary Emerson, Lake & Palmer, as well Asia, Atomic Rooster and The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown. With the recent passing of both his bandmates Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, Carl and his band performs a show in their honor with classics such as “Pictures At An Exhibition,”  “Lucky Man,” “From the Beginning” and “Targus” which helped define progressive rock.

Open Studios of Washington County: 2017 dates

Gyula and Hannie Varosy's studio displays the form, fit and function of a modern gallery nestled in the countryside as it mimicks the slope of the hillside in the background and incorporates a grid structured pathway built with fieldstone and pressure treated lumber for the Open Studios of Washington County New York on Saturdaqy and Sunday. His background and training in architure mixes well with his sculptures and his wives use of mixed media in the common studio areas.

Open Studios of Washington County, an admission-free biennial event featuring the artwork of regional artists in their working environments, announces the 2017 tour dates are Thursday through Sunday, July 13, 14, 15 and 16. Seven new artists join 13 returning artists to make the 2017 tour the largest, most diverse yet. Works range across a range of mediums, including painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture and fine furniture. New artists exhibiting as part of the 2017 tour include: Gigi Begin – The animals,…
